Sydney had been out shopping, something she rarely did without good reason to do so. In her hands she didn't hold a million bags like most girls would, but rather a simple three. One contained new paints and brushes, which was something she'd treated herself too after doing a bit of saving. Another contained a novel from the secondhand shop, and the third contained a photo frame, which she intended to set on the desk of her room.
Now, however, she wanted to sit and relax for a little bit, and so she made her way into the Starbucks that was a block over from the mall, ordering herself a hot chocolate before turning and heading off towards one of the little booths she could sit at, taking a seat and looking down at the cup, waiting for it to cool.

Lysander wasn't a coffee drinker. He was big on tea, Roobios, to be specific. This was why most would be shocked to see him in a Starbucks. They only sold Tazo, which wasn't usually Lysander's drink of choice (it didn't even make the top three, actually.) but today he really wanted a tea latte, and making his tea in his dorm just wasn't cutting it. He waited his turn in line, ordering a London Fog and a big chocolate chip cookie, before glancing around for a recognizable face. When he saw Sydney, he beelined to her table, setting his drink and plate down, "Need some company?"

Hearing someone speak and noticing a shadow spread over the table, along with the soft clatter of a plate and cup being set down, Sydney looked up and saw Lysander standing over her. A soft smile formed on her face and she didn't hesitate, nodding her head slightly.
'Your company's always welcome' She told him truthfully before looking back down at her cup, blowing on the liquid lightly, not yet interested in drinking it, worried that it would still be too hot and scald her mouth, which was really the last thing that she wanted in that moment.

Andy took her words at face value, sitting down immediately, smiling fondly, "Back at you," He told her honestly, breaking off a piece of his cookie and offering it to her, "Except I've not seen you around recently. You haven't been hiding from me, have you?" He asked, eyebrows raised as he lifted his latte to his lips, taking a sip before realizing that he should wait as Sydney seemed to be, not wanting to burn his mouth more than he just had. Sometimes he was just so empty headed, and he really needed to think before he did things.

'Nah, not hiding, you've just not been looking in the right places' Or the right beds, Sydney added to herself internally as she took the offered cookie with a smile, which grew a little as he took a sip of his drink only to lower it quickly. She assumed it was too hot as she nodded her head in way of thanks for the cookie.
'Or maybe you're the one who's been hiding from me, since I've not seen you around either' She teased lightly, despite knowing that him hiding from her probably wasn't the case at all.

"Not my fault you never come to my room," Andy teased, nudging her foot with his own, under the table, "I mean, really... I've been waiting around all day and night for you to return the favour of coming over so I can return the favour of... well, you know." He said suggestively, referring to their hand job/masturbation duo from the week previous. He would be glad to return the favour, having a feeling she would be someone completely amazing to watch in the throes of orgasm. She seemed very passionate, which Lysander always loved in a girl.

'Well, I'll have to get on that then, won't I? Don't be surprised to come back and find I've made myself at home in your room' Sydney told him with a cheeky smile, glancing down at her cup momentarily before looking up at him again.
'Maybe things will get further next time' She added quietly, biting the left side of her bottom lip between her teeth as she looked at him for a second before dropping her gaze to her cup again. She'd decided after he'd left last time that she wanted to sleep with him, even if she didn't know him as well as she wanted to, and now she just needed the opportunity to present itself.

"Maybe they will..." Andy agreed, reaching across the table to take her hand in his, lacing their fingers together, "After all, we've plenty of time to get to know each other, each of us with some Starbucks sitting in front of us," He pointed out, "And do remind me to start leaving my door unlocked."
He would never leave his door unlocked; he didn't want to lose his guitar. But it was a nice thought, to be able to. If he kept his guitar with him, it'd be something he would consider, but as it stood, it was an impossibility.

It shocked her slightly when he took her hand, since she'd not expected it and she wasn't really used to simple, sweet and innocent gestures like the one he'd just made.
'You lock your door?' Sydney asked him, eyebrows raising. Perhaps she was simply too trusting, but she'd never really felt the need to lock her door before, and she certainly wasn't about to start any time soon. If he did lock his door it was going to make surprising him rather hard.
'Maybe you should just come back to mine then' She added after, meaning her words.

"I'm a tad protective of my guitar," Lysander explained sheepishly, "Because, you know... it's my baby." He added, feeling foolish now, "But, I mean, I could leave it unlocked and just hide it, I guess, if you've got youe heart set on breaking in and surprising me." He added, trying to make it sound less ridiculous than it was. "But then, I mean, your room is probably better. Er, nicer. Er... it definitely smells better, because I... well, yeah, no it definitely smells better." He said nervously, now just rambling about nothing in particular, trying to seem less.... well, stupid.

Sydney watched him ramble, starting to realise that it was something he did when he was nervous, and so she pulled her hand from his, standing up and making her way around to his side of the table, sitting herself down in his lap, caring little for where they were.
'Relax. We'll work it out when the time calls for it' She told him quietly, pressing her lips against the side of his neck lightly before looking up at him. She wanted to show him that she didn't really care about the formalities, that the most important part was that she wanted to have sex with him.

"Oh, I... yeah, we'll do that. Work it out, I mean. Er.. and have sex, I guess, well, not I guess, I know. You know, I'm just going to stop talking," Lysander murmured, wrapping his arms loosely around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. True to his words, he lifted the latte to his lips again, taking a long sip before taking out the teabag and letting it dit on the plate his cookie had come on.
He said nothing else, just kissing along the side of her neck leisurely, knowing that his words would fail him with her this close.

'You drink tea?' Sydney asked him, twisting around slightly to look up at him with a smile on her face, both shocked and pleased. She hadn't expected him to be the tea drinking sort, and yet, thinking about it now she hadn't expected him to be a coffee person either, so she wasn't really sure why she thought he'd been in Starbucks in the first place. Shrugging the thought off, she reached across the table for her own cup before settling back on his lap, hands around the warm mug. She tipped it up, taking a sip before lowering it and waiting for him to answer.

"Only tea. No coffee, no cocoa. Just tea," Andy told her simply, wrinkling his nose at her choice in drink. Too much sugar for his liking, much too much. He liked the bitter sting of his tea. "But it suits you, hot chocolate." He added, smiling fondly and kissing the tip of her nose. Subsequently, he rested his chin back on her shoulder, smile growing as he watched the comings and goings of the coffee shop. It always amazed him how busy Starbucks was; overpriced coffee in ridiculously named sizes, as well as a lot of snobby employees... he just didn't get it.

'No cocoa?' Sydney asked him, somewhat shocked and amazed. How could anyone not enjoy the main ingredient in hot chocolate? He was crazy, she decided right then and there, but she also knew that she liked him for it, too. It made him different.
When he kissed the tip of her nose, Sydney giggled lightly before settling in once again and watching his face for any change in his expression, noticing that he seemed to be watching something, but not tearing her eyes away to look, figuring it wouldn't be nearly as good as what she was looking at.

"Starbucks is amazing." Lysander mused absently, twisting her hair between his fingers, also in a very absent manner, "I mean, it's a business that's grown relatively quickly to hug proportions. Their employees become stock holders, usually so loyal that they'd never consider working somewhere else. They charge six dollars for a drink, when you could get one for two from Tim Hortons, and yet, people love it. They come in droves. I don't know how their coffee is, but their tea is mediocre at best, so I don't understand it, personally. If it were higher quality, then fine, but it's not even that."

Sydney could feel him playing with her hair as he spoke, and she couldn't help but be curious as to whether he was aware of the fact that he was doing it or not. He was on a roll, ranting quietly about Starbucks, so she wasn't exactly sure.
'It's because it's easy, fast and convenient. There's a Starbucks on every third street, and they have so much variety and that's what draws people in. They don't have to wait, and they can take it with them. It just works' She explained softly, wondering if he'd accept her reasoning or not.

"Such is the case with any coffee shop, though. Many are cheaper, and even more are less busy," Lysander murmured, "There are so many great things that would be just as convenient, it just makes little sense. It's a business gem, really. I mean, the way they built it up, using the logo and making it into something iconic for our generation. There are so many different things that could have been our 'thing', but it's ended up being Starbucks. My parents only drink Tim Hortons; that was theirs. It's just interesting. A good way to gauge the intelligence of a generation. We'll spend an extra four dollars for a little foam."

'You came here to spend an extra four dollars today' Sydney murmured quietly, pressing her lips to his neck, not sure just how worked up about it he was getting, and not aiming to work him up anymore, just trying to help him.
'Why?' She asked, curious as to why he'd come to Starbucks when he obviously wasn't very impressed with what he'd gotten. She didn't really have that big a problem with the place. Sure, it was expensive, and not the best, but it was there and it was easy to access, so she came occasionally.

"Tea latte, no other coffee shops close by. Usually I buy and brew my own roobios, but I don't have my own milk steaming machine in my dorm, so a latte is usually out of the question. Sometimes, you just want something more. For me, my latte is so unusual a treat that the extra four dollars ends up being a once a month sort of thing. A treat, if you will. Finding you here was just an addition to that," He smiled, leaning down to kiss her softly before reaching for the mentioned drink and taking another slow drink.
