Friday afternoons were both what Sydney lived for and the time of the week that she hated most. Every single one of her friends had a class while she had a spare, and there was no leaving the school grounds until all the classes were finished. Sure, she could sneak out, but where was the fun in that when you were going by yourself?
To help pass the time she now lay on her bed in her room, headphones jammed in her ears and music playing as loud as it'd go as she stared up at her roof, which was, of course, covered in posters.
Sydney was actually lucky that she had her own room, since she was just the scholarship kid, not that anyone knew that. However, in a school full of rich children, she supposed she couldn't really expect anything less, since she was sure that any of them would shudder at the thought of communal anything.

One might find it odd that Lysander was in search of a pen. Being a student, and all, one would assume that he would have pens littering his room. This, usually, was the case. Recently, however, all of Andy's pens had begun running out. Now, on his last one, he needed to finish an assignment on his spare.
He had a feeling his current pen would last, but knowing his luck lately...
In any case, he found himself making his way through the dorms, trying to find someone - anyone - who could lend him a pen. Or sell him one. Whichever was easier.
He stopped at the door of a girl he'd met only in passing, Sydney. He knew she had spare, but would she be inside? Knocking loudly on the door, Lysander hoped she'd be home.

As a song by a band her father used to listen to blasted into her ears, Sydney continued to stare up at the posters above her bed. She had to admit, she'd certainly saved the best looking ones for the place she'd spend the most time staring at, but at the moment, she'd spent too long looking at them.
With that thought in mind, she got up from where she lay, instead going over to her desk and resuming work on a collage she'd started, headphones still in her ears. Just as the knock sounded at her door (despite the fact she obviously didn't hear it), Sydney knocked a tiny jar of glitter off her desk, sending the tiny, colored flakes everywhere, and causing her to curse loudly, knowing that it'd take forever to get them out.

Hearing the curse, Andy frowned. He tried the door, at this point just worried that perhaps something was wrong with the girl on the other side, and found it to be unlocked, as most doors usually were. "Are you... er... decent?" he called out to her, hoping she was and that he wasn't intruding. He just needed a pen, and there was no one else around on their floor. If she didn't have one, he'd apologize and leave, but he hoped she would, otherwise his assignment would surely be late.

'Fuck' Sydney cursed once again, having not heard the boy at the door, music still playing as she crouched down, staring at the glitter, not even sure what to do about it at that stage. It was going to be one of the messiest things she'd ever had to clean up, and she honestly wasn't sure that it would ever all come out of the carpet.
Sighing heavily she reached her hand out, beginning to attempt to scoop it all up, despite the fact that it was done so reluctantly. She swore to herself that she'd never use glitter again after this, no matter how badly her art teacher wanted her to use it. Hell, she'd happily fail if it meant avoiding it.

Unsure now whether she was injured or not, Lysander finally made his way into the room. He quickly moved around in front of her, dropping to his knees before realizing she was only picking up spilled glitter. Feeling foolish, he made it seem like he'd known all along, smiling sheepishly and helping her pick up the little flakes. That was when he noticed the head phones, and felt even more idiotic, if that was even humanly possible. "I... uh, sorry!" He spurted out, eyes wide as he stood again, not sure what he should do.

Sydney damn near had a heart attack when someone appeared in front of her, crouching down to help her begin scooping up the glitter. Looking up at them, she realised it was Lysander (or rather, Andy, as she knew most everyone called him). Upon noticing who it was, and seeing his lips moving, she pulled the headphones from her ears, watching as he stood up.
'Sorry?' She asked, having not heard what he'd said. She quickly abandoned her attempt at cleaning up the glitter, instead opting to fall back so she was sitting with her legs crossed, looking up at him, still rather confused.

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to barge in, I knocked, but.. yeah, and you cursed so I thought maybe you were hurt or something, so I came to help, but then I realized that you were just cleaning up glitter and that you couldn't hear me so I apologized," Andy rambled, the pretty girl's eyes making him feel very self conscious and extremely nervous. He doubted she even knew his name, and here he was standing above her in her room, having walked in unannounced and uninvited. He felt absolutely rude.

Sydney listened in silence, unable to help the smile that spread over her face as he spoke. He was rambling, and he seemed nervous, but she didn't know why he would be nervous about something so simple as having come in. It's not like she'd been naked, or anything of the sort.
'It's fine, Andy, really' Sydney told him, meaning the words she spoke, not sure if she should be calling him by his nickname or not, but doing so anyway. He really was stressing out way too much, and she couldn't help but be amused by it. It was, in all honesty, rather cute.

Andy had to disagree with her assessment, but before he could do that, he looked at her, in relative shock, "You know my name?" He asked, actually surprised. Pretty girls didn't tend to pay any attention to him, it was odd that she could possibly know him - or anything about him. Pushing the thought away, he focused on the rest of her statement, "And no, it's not. It was really rude of me to just walk in and I really am sorry." He said again, hoping she would understand what he was trying to say this time.

'I shouldn't know it?' Sydney asked him, again rather amused by his apparent shock. She knew of alot of people that didn't know of her, but that was simply because she paid attention, she looked around and took notice of what was around her.
'I'm Sydney' She told him simply, not sure if he knew who she was, since he was apparently blown away that she knew who he was. The odds of him knowing of her were, she decided, rather low.
'And I swear, it's fine. It's not liked you walked in on me naked, although, even that probably wouldn't have been so bad. If I'd been in the middle of having sex, then we might have had a problem' She teased.

Andy knew who she was. Andy knew who plenty of people were, even if he didn't speak to them, or befriend them. He wasn't the most social, obviously, but he was generally quite aware of his surroundings. "I know," He said with a small smile, which dropped as he processed her words about him walking in on her naked, or having sex. Both images flashed in his mind, and Lysander looked down at his feet, ashamed of his apparent horny tendencies.
The naked image was just her, facing away from him wearing only her panties, bending to pull on a pair of jeans, her back bare and curved in such a way that he would have felt the need to adjust his pants, were she not standing in front of him.
The sex image? Much more graphic. He wasn't walking in on her having sex, he was on top of her, giving her everything he had in an attempt to make her moan, to make her body shake in pleasure.
He really needed to adjust himself. Or get to a bathroom. Or something.
"Yeah, good thing I didn't," He said sheepishly, embarrassed (and also completely turned on) by his thoughts.

It seemed that Sydney was just as shocked that he knew who she was as he was of her. She hadn't really expected that, although, it rather pleased her, she realised quickly. He was cute. Most definitely cute, and so him knowing who she was made her feel somewhat important. It also, however, made her feel somewhat self conscious, curious as to what he'd heard about her.
Rather than ask however, despite desperately wanting to, she turned her attention back to the glittery mess on the floor once he'd finished speaking. Sighing heavily she began scooping up the colored flakes once more, not at all liking the way it stuck to her skin.
'You know, I almost wish you had, because at least then I wouldn't have to deal with this' Sydney told him honestly, disgusted at the mess she'd managed to make.

Lysander's mouth went unreasonably dry, his throat closing in near shock at her words. Did she really wish that only because of the mess, or...
And he was imagining her naked again.
Squatting, despite the position being extremely uncomfortable for his, er, situation, Andy continued to help her clean. "Seeing you naked would be more fun than cleaning this glitter," He said suddenly, though he hadn't at all meant to say it out loud. "I.. uh, mean, er... hypothetically. You don't need to... uh, you know. That... isn't what I meant, at all."

Sydney was shocked by his words, but also amused, and so she couldn't help the grin that spread a little unjustly over her face. It was funny, how awkward he apparently felt talking about her being naked, when she was so casual about it, completely unphased.
'Let me know if you change your mind' She teased him, not at all put out by what he'd said. She'd had far worse, especially with where she worked, and he was being rather polite about the whole thing, and so she found that she wasn't at all offended by what he'd said to her. There was, quite simply, no reason to be so.

Andy's eyes widened, and he opened his mouth, somewhat in shock, about to tell her that he had indeed changed his mind, which now began to wander to thoughts of how soft her skin probably was and the places she most liked to be touched. He managed not to let his thoughts slip, but his mouth was now open, and words began tumbling out, "I needed to borrow a pen," he heard himself saying, "mine are all dead and I.. that's why I came over, to see if I could borrow a pen."
It was a stupid thing to say, but it stopped him from asking to see her tits, which was the next option.

Sydney looked up when he asked for a pen. Of course he'd come for a reason! How could that thought have escaped her like it had?
'What color would you like?' She asked, opening a drawer in her desk before pushing it closed again, since it was just full of letters from her parents. She pulled open the next one up and hit the jackpot, reaching in and grabbing out a handful of pens in assorted colors, offering them towards him. She didn't know what color he wanted, but whatever it was, she was sure that she had it.

"Just, uh... blue, is fine..." Lysander mumbled, feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment. He wanted to kiss her, and to feel her skin underneath his calloused finger, and they were talking about pens - which was his fault, of course - rather than doing it. Taking a deep breath, Andy decided it was now or never - and that if he wanted to kiss her, he'd have to take it upon himself.
Instead of grabbing one of the offered pens, he grabbed her, pulling her so she was flush against him and kissing her quickly, before he lost his nerve and backed out.

Sydney was more than a little shocked by his boldness, having not expected it at all. It seemed that no sooner had his lips pressed to hers they were pulling away, and she looked at him a moment before a grin spread over her face, truly unable to help it.
'Well that was more than a little unexpected' She told him, amusement coming through in her tone as she continued to look at him, studying his face carefully, searching for any betrayal of what he was feeling now.
She wasn't sure what would come next, but her words weren't at all intended to seem as though they were mocking him, they simply flew from her mouth as they normally would, and she couldn't help the person she was.

Andy smiled sheepishly, noting that she didn't seem upset, just slightly shocked, and so he kissed her again. This time, however, he didn't pull away, instead slipping his tongue between his own lips and pressing it to hers, wondering if she would allow him to deepen the kiss as his hands slid under the back of her shirt, his fingers coming into contact with her smooth skin as he pulled her just a little bit closer, removing all space between them. It had been a while since he kissed a girl - a very long while. The last give he'd kissed was one of the girls he worked with in the summer at camp, and it felt... awkward.
This didn't feel awkward - at least, not to him.
